The Looking Glass: A Short Poem About Life The looking glass. I thought life was made of stones, When they said it is hard, I thought life was a king, When they said it is cruel, I thought life was a dream, When they said it is short, I thought life was a candy, When they said it is sweet, I thought life was a diamond, When they said it is precious, No matter what I thought about life, No matter what I heard them say, I never knew what life was?
